GLENDALE, Ariz. -- We may have seen the defensive play of spring so far by the Dodgers, thanks to Darwin Barney.
Rockies second baseman DJ LeMahieu ripped a ball up the middle but Barney, playing second base, showed his range with a diving stop, plus a quick throw to first base to get him.

That play is Exhibit A in Barney's case for a roster spot.
Barney takes the unofficial title of best play of spring from teammate Justin Turner, who combined with Barney for a sweet double play on Sunday against Milwaukee.
