GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig has had a relatively quiet spring, though there was nothing quiet about his first at-bat on Wednesday. Puig hit a home run off Jason Lane of the Padres that not only cleared the Dodgers' left field bullpen, but also cleared Camelback Ranch.
Puig's home run hit the wall of the Dodgers' offices, near the back entrance to the Dodgers clubhouse, and nearly made it on to the second deck patio, before bouncing back over the fence and on to the outfield concourse inside the stadium.
The home run improved Puig to 8-for-32 (.250) on the spring, and his four home runs lead the team. The Dodgers have 34 home runs with still plenty of time left in their 24th game, entering Wednesday leading MLB in long balls.
