LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers top pitching prospect Julio Urias on Monday was named Texas League Pitcher of the Week for the extended opening of the season, from April 9-19, 2015. The teenage left-hander has made quite an impression in his first two starts for Double-A Tulsa.

He pitched five scoreless innings with four strikeouts at home against the San Antonio Missions (Padres) on April 10, then struck out 10 on the road in San Antonio in 5⅔ innings on April 16, his longest outing as a professional.

Urias has five straight scoreless starts dating back to 2014, with an active streak of 26 consecutive scoreless innings. Since turning 18, Urias has allowed one run in six starts over 31 innings, with 16 hits, eight walks and 45 strikeouts.

Up next for Urias is a scheduled start for Tulsa on Tuesday night at the Corpus Christi Hooks (Astros).
