LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers need a win on Wednesday night for their sixth straight home series win against the Padres, and will send Brandon McCarthy to the mound against San Diego and Andrew Cashner.

The Dodgers are sticking with the same lineup as Tuesday night, with Yasmani Grandal catching against his former team. A.J. Ellis is 5-for-10 (.500) with two walks against Cashner. Grandal hasn't faced him, since they were teammates the last three years.

Adrian Gonzalez, who has hit home runs in each of the first two games of the season, is tied for the most plate appearances against Cashner in his career (23, with Miguel Montero). Gonzalez is 6-for-22 (.273) with a home run, a double and a walk against Cashner.

Juan Uribe is 6-for-14 (.429) with two doubles and a walk against Cashner, while Carl Crawford is 6-for-18 (.333) with two doubles. Yasiel Puig is 2-for-14 (.143) with four strikeouts, and two walks.

The Padres have mostly the same lineup as the first two games, but with switch-hitter Yangervis Solarte starting at second base instead of Jedd Gyorko, batting seventh. Gyorko is 0-for-14 with five strikeouts (and one hit by pitch) against McCarthy is his career.

Alexi Amarista is 5-for-16 (.313) with two doubles against McCarthy, while Yonder Alonso is 3-for-12 (.250) with a home run. Will Middlebrooks is 2-for-2 with a double and a walk.
