RANCHO CUCAMONGA -- A combination of Star Wars night and post-game fireworks brought a big crowd to LoanMart Field on Saturday night. The Quakes did their part to entertain their fans as they came back from a three-run deficit to win 8-6 over the Storm (Padres).

In the fifth inning, Devan Ahart came up with a runner on and two out and then Ahart hit his second home run of the season to tie the game 4-4. Victor Araujo retired the Storm in order to keep the game tied.

A single and an error put runners on first and third. Cody Bellinger doubled in one run, a wild pitch scored the second run. Paul Hoenecke hit one of his two doubles to make it 7-4.

Jeff Brigham started the game for the Quakes and while he hit 96 MPH several times, he had problems locating his pitches. Brigham only gave up two runs in four innings but he allowed five hits, four walks while striking out just three.

Luis Meza relieved Brigham and he gave up two runs to give the Storm their short-lived 4-1 lead.

The Storm made it close in the eighth inning. With two out, Jose Rondon hit a liner to left-center and centerfielder Rob Garvey couldn't make the catch. The ball rolled to the wall and Rondon ran through a stop sign to score. Rondon's inside-the-park home run made it 7-6 Quakes.

Cody Bellinger would extend the lead back to two runs as his double scored Kyle Farmer.

Rob Rogers retired the side in order, striking out two to get the save. The Quakes continued their dominance over the Storm at LoanMart Field winning their sixth game in six tries at home.
