Rancho Cucamonga pitcher Zack Bird gave up three runs in seven innings. Bird also struck out eight while scattering three hits and two walks.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

Trailing by a run in the bottom of the ninth, the Dodgers were on the verge of losing their first series of the season.  But then, an errant throw to the plate allowed two runs to score and the Dodgers beat the Zephyrs (Marlins) 5-4.

The Dodgers had lost the lead in the eighth inning when the Zephyrs scored three runs. But in the bottom of the ninth, two walks surrounded a single and the bases were loaded for Corey Seager.

Seager took the count to 2-2 but his ground ball to first looked like a rally killer. A bad throw home trying to get the tying run ended up costing two runs and the win to the Dodgers.

P.J. Walters made the start and pitched six innings, allowing three runs on seven hits, a walk and three strikeouts.

O'Koyea Dickson hit his second home run of the season and Darwin Barney had two doubles.

Double-A Tulsa

Tulsa could not take advantage of a solid start by Julio Urias as a two run rally by the Arkansas (Angels) was enough to beat the Drillers 3-2.

David Hood wrote about prospects Julio Urias, Yadir Drake and Matt West.

Tulsa led 2-1 going to the seventh but with one out and runners on second and third, an error by shortstop Delvis Morales allowed the second run to score which gave Arkansas the lead.

Brandon Dixon was 2-for-4 in the loss.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes scored two runs in the twelfth inning to come back and beat Visalia (Diamondbacks) 5-4.

Yasiel Puig was the attraction for the fans as he began his rehab on Thursday night, Puig was the DH and went 0-for-4.  Puig was hit for in the tenth inning.

Two innings later, Robbie Garvey hit a double to lead off the tenth inning and then Dillon Moyer singled home Garvey to tie the game. And then with Moyer on second base, Devan Ahart hit a single that scored game winner.

Before that, Quakes Zack Bird put on his best performance this season, as he pitched seven innings and gave up three runs and three hits.

Robbie Garvey went 3-for-5 and Dillion Moyer went 2-for-5.

Low Class-A Great Lakes

Lake County (Cubs) scored 10 runs by the end of the fifth and despite a strong Loons' effort to comeback, they fell short losing 10-to-6.

Dace Kime pitched well for the Captains and got the win.

Alex Verdugo had a 3-for-4 night and Jacob Scavuzzo was 2-for-5.
