Double-A Tulsa is on MiLB.tv nearly every night, but on Thursday night they get a much wider audience, hosting the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Royals) at 5 p.m. PT, televised by CBS Sports Network.
That means a chance to see Hector Olivera, the Dodgers' $62.5 million man hitting .278/.381/.444 (5-for-18) with a home run and three walks in his first five professional games. Olivera has played three games at third base and two at second base so far.
Olivera and the Drillers will face right-hander Luke Farrell.
Eric Stults starts for Tulsa, his second start since rejoining the Dodgers organization. The 35-year-old left-hander pitched five shutout innings in his first start for the Drillers last Friiday against Frisco.
Tulsa and Northwest Arkansas just finished a three-game series in Springdale, including a doubleheader on Tuesday to make up for a rain out on May 24. This series at ONEOK Field in Tulsa is also three games over two days, with a doubleheader Friday to make up for a rain out on May 25.
This is the third of 10 minor league games to be televised by CBS Sports Network this season, and the only one involving the Dodgers organization. Dick Gabriel and Doug Flynn are on the call.
