Player of the day
Darnell Sweeney did not have a great first two months at the plate as a Oklahoma City Dodger. Entering play on June 1st, Sweeney was hitting .251 with a .697 OPS. In June, Sweeney is hitting .330 with .827 OPS. Sweeney also leads the league in stolen bases (25) and caught stealing (10 times).
Triple-A Oklahoma City
The Sounds (Athletics) won a five-inning rain-shortened game by a 4-2 score. Deck McGuire took a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the fourth. The Sounds would get three hits, a walk, a hit-by-pitch, a catcher's interference and two sacrifice flies that pushed across three runs.
Darwin Barney was 3-for-3, Corey Seager was 2-for-3 and Darnell Sweeney had a double and scored a run.
Low Class-A Great Lakes
The Loons saw the Dragons (Reds) scored eight unanswered runs and the Dragons defeated the Loons 9-2. Alex Verdugo went 3-for-5 and saw his consecutive hitting streak reach 11 games.
2015 draft picks Matt Beaty (12th) and Kyle Garlick (28th) each had two hits in the game, for Beaty it was second game as a Loon with two hits and for Garlick, this was his first game as a Loon.

Rookie Ogden
The Owlz (Angels) scored one run for each hit they had and that was a very bad thing on Monday night as the Owlz had 21 hits that resulted in a 21-2 drubbing over the Raptors. To add insult to injury, the final 16 Raptor batters were retired in order. The only good thing was that the Raptors were playing on the road so the Owlz couldn't score anymore runs.
Six pitchers and one position player (Yensys Capellan) pitched on Monday. Capellan has now hit one more home run than he has given up as a pitcher.
Nick Sell made his Pioneer League debut for the Raptors and went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
[Recap]
Rookie - Dominican Summer League

16-year old Venezuelan catcher Keibert Ruiz was 2-for-4 with a run scored.
