ATLANTA ---- The Dodgers optioned left-handed pitcher Adam Liberatore and recalled left-handed pitcher Ian Thomas this morning.  Thomas is expected to be in Atlanta by first pitch.

Thomas has made two prior appearances for the Dodgers, the last time was on July 7th against Philadelphia.

Thomas was originally signed by the Atlanta Braves in 2012 and pitched in five games for the Braves in 2015, posting a 3.38 ERA in 5⅓ IP.

Thomas was acquired on May 27, 2015 by the Dodgers along with today's starting third baseman Alberto Callaspo, Juan Jaime and Eric Stults for Juan Uribe and Chris Withrow.

Liberatore, who was acquired by the Dodgers last November with Joel Peralta for Greg Harris and Jose Dominguez, was recalled on April 17th and had made 35 appearances, pitching 26 innings, with a 3.10 ERA and a 3/1 strikeout to walk ratio.

Liberatore had hit some bumps recently, in July, he had pitched 3⅓ innings in five games and allowed five runs and one home run.
