LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers' game against the Pirates on Sunday, Aug. 9 at PNC Park n Pittsburgh has been moved from a 10:35 a.m. PT start to 5 p.m., and will be nationally broadcast exclusively on ESPN 'Sunday Night Baseball.'
There will be no SportsNet LA broadcast of this game.
The matchup is the culmination of a three-game weekend series in Pittsburgh, and a possible playoff preview. The Pirates (55-40) and Dodgers (55-42) have the second- and third-best records in the National League entering play on Friday.
This will be the first series meeting of the year between the Dodgers and Pirates, with the two clubs meeting again in Los Angeles for another weekend series from Sept. 18-20.
This will be the third time the Dodgers are on ESPN 'Sunday Night Baseball' this season, and the first time on the road. The Dodgers lost to the Cardinals 4-2 at Dodger Stadium on June 7, then two weeks later beat the Giants 10-2 on ESPN.
The Dodgers are 33-18 all-time at PNC Park, which opened in 2001, but they have lost two of three games in Pittsburgh in each of the last two seasons.
