Ogden Raptors win 6-2, Kevin Brown strikes out four

A light schedule with only the three Dodger Rookie-league affiliates playing on Monday

Player of the day

Pitcher Kevin Brown was drafted in the 9th round in 2015 draft. The 23-year old pitcher has made ten appearances, all in relief, for Ogden. On Monday, Brown, who got the win, pitched two innings, gave up two hits, one walk and four strikeouts.

Rookie-level Pioneer

The Raptors defeated the Brewers 6-2 on Monday night. Adam Bray and three relievers held the Brewers scoreless until the ninth inning.

Bray pitched scoreless four innings, allowing four hits and striking out three. Player of the Day Kevin Brown followed with two scoreless innings. Colin Hering duplicated that effort in his two innings.

Alex Santana went 2-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI. Catcher Jake Henson was 1-for-4 with a triple and two RBI.

Rookie-level Arizona

The White Sox scored seven runs in the first three innings and beat the Dodgers 7-2. 19-year old Dennis Santana and 20-year old Roberth Fernandez have had rough 2015 after doing well in the Dominican Summer League in 2014.

Santana pitched 1⅔ innings and gave up five runs (one earned), two hits, five walks and struck out two. Fernandez only pitched ⅓ of inning and allowed two runs on two hits and a walk.

The Dodgers' pitchers had both 11 walks and 11 strikeouts.

The Dodgers did not produce much offense, striking out 10 times. Brendan Davis was 1-for-4 and had 1 RBI.

Rookie-level Dominican Summer League

The Rockies scored two runs in the seventh inning and held on to shutout the Dodgers 2-0. The Rockies pitchers struck out 13 Dodgers and gave up only five hits and two walks.

Johan Diaz pitched five innings, gave up two hits, three walks and struck out six.

Shortstop Lucas Tirado, who signed with the Dodgers two years ago for a reported $1M, struck out each of the four times he batted.
