RANCHO CUCAMONGA --- The Quakes had three straight hits with two outs in the ninth to win a 4-3 walk-off over the Storm (Padres). The win made it a four-game sweep and a 12-0 record against the Storm at LoanMart Field this season.

With two outs, Tyler Ogle blooped a parachute into right for a single, Brian Wolfe doubled to make it second and third. Dillon Moyer then hit a flair that dropped fair down the right field line to win the game.

The Quakes had taken a 3-0 lead to the eighth inning behind a strong Cal League debut by starter Pablo Fernandez and a red hot Brandon Dixon.

Pablo Fernandez baffled Storm batters with his off-speed pitches that made his 88-89 MPH fastball very effective. Fernandez pitched six scoreless innings, allowing four hits, a walk and striking out six. Rob Rogers pitched around two walks to record a scoreless seventh.

In the eighth, Michael Johnson gave up back to back doubles to give up the Storm's first run. After a strikeout, another double drove in the second run. Johnson bounced back to record back to back strikeouts to preserve the one-run lead.

A.J. Vanegas could not get his second save as Vanegas gave up a one-out walk and a ground out to third put the runner on second with two outs. Nick Torres then drove in the tying run with two out single.

The Quakes got out in front early, scoring two runs in the first. After a walk to Tim Locastro, Brandon Dixon hit his ninth home run of the season and his fourth in three games and sixth home run of the week.

Dixon then scored the third run of the game when Jacob Scavuzzo doubled him home in the third inning.
