Player Of The Day
Alex Santana hit two home runs and drove in six in Ogden's 13-8. Santana was sent to Ogden in August after playing most of the season at Great Lakes.
Triple-A Oklahoma City
Mike Bolsinger had his shortest outing as a Oklahoma City Dodger as the Aces (Diamondbacks) beat the Dodgers 9-3. Bolsinger lasted just 2⅔ innings, giving up four runs, three hits, five walks and struck out one.
Steve Smith followed Bolsinger and Smith gave up five runs in 2⅓ innings.
Jose Peraza, Andy Wilkins, and Darwin Barney each had two hits. Corey Seager was 1-for-4 with a walk.
Double-A Tulsa
The Drillers lost to the Rough Riders (Rangers) 2-1 on Thursday night. Ross Stripling had a solid start, going six innings, giving up two runs, four hits, one walk and struck out four. Three relievers following Stripling and they each pitched a scoreless inning.
The Drillers tried to come back in the ninth inning, Peter Lavin and Kyle Farmer singled and then Lars Anderson doubled to score Lavin and put runners on second and third with no out.
Brandon Dixon grounded out to shortstop and after an intentional walk, Erisbel Arruebarrena grounded into a 5-4-3 double play to end the threat.
Class-A Rancho Cucamonga
The Quakes shut out Rawhide (Diamondbacks) 4-0 behind strong pitching and two home runs. Matt Shelton returned from the disabled list and Shelton pitched seven innings, four hits, and struck out six. Rob Rogers and Joe Broussard each pitched a scoreless inning to finish the game.
Alex Verdugo went 3-for-4 and hit his first home run as a Quake to score the first run. Jacob Scavuzzo gave the Quakes a cushion when Scavuzzo hit a three-run home run in the eighth inning. Kyle Garlick was 2-for-3 and Willie Calhoun was 1-for-2 with a double and two walks.
Low Class-A
The Loons saw the White Caps (Tigers) score three runs in the eighth and the White Caps went on to win 6-4. Andrew Sopko made his second start for Great Lakes and he pitched 4⅓ innings and allowed a run, three hits, one walk and struck out three.
J.D. Underwood took the loss, in Underwood's one inning of work, he allowed three runs, three hits, one walk and struck out one.
Brian Wolfe was the offensive star for the Loons, Wolfe went 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI. Justin Chigbogu had three doubles in the loss.

Rookie - Pioneer League
The Raptors scored in each of the first five innings and won 13-8 over the Brewers. Player of the day, Alex Santana, hit a three-run home run to open the scoring for the Raptors.
Matt Jones hit a three-run double in the second and Santana followed with a triple to drive in Jones. Gage Green hit a two-run triple in the third inning. Santana hit his second home run, a solo shot in the fourth inning.
A single by Santana drove in one of the two runs scored in the fifth inning.
Jairo Pacheco started and pitched 5⅔ innings, Pacheco allowed five runs, five hits, three walks and struck out six. The Raptors gave up eight hits and ten walks but had a big enough lead to withstand that.
Besides Santana, keep your eye on catcher Gersel Pitre, the 19-year old Venezuelan catcher who started his 2015 season at Arizona. Pitre was 3-for4 with a triple and a walk. Seven Raptors had multiple hits, besides Santana and Pitre, Green, Kelvin Ramos, Jones, Edwin Rios and Faustino Oguisten each had two hits.
Rookie - Arizona League
The Dodgers led 8-0 after three innings and held on to win 8-4 over the Athletics. Nolan Long started and pitched five scoreless innings, allowing two hits, one walk and striking out seven.
Catcher Hendrick Clementina was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Brendon Davis was 1-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI.
Rookie - Dominican Summer League
The Twins scored three runs in the eighth to beat the Dodgers 7-5. Felix Lacen pitched five innings, allowed three runs (one earned), four hits and struck out two.
Luis Paz was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Jefrey Souffront and Daniel Padilla each had two hits.
