Zack Greinke looks for more success against D-backs, NL West

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Zack Greinke and the Dodgers go for a series win against the Diamondbacks on Sunday afternoon, with Greinke looking to continue his dominance of the National League West.

Greinke since joining the Dodgers in 2013 is 23-3 with a 1.98 ERA in 37 starts against divisional foes, with 218 strikeouts and 55 walks in 236⅓ innings.

Against Arizona he has been even better, at 6-0 with a 1.37 ERA in eight starts, with 50 strikeouts, 12 walks and only eight runs allowed to the D-backs. At Chase Field during that span he is 5-0 with an 0.81 ERA in five starts, including seven scoreless inning in Phoenix on April 12.

That is Greinke's only start against the Diamondbacks this season.

The Dodgers have Justin Ruggiano in left field, Scott Van Slyke in right field, and A.J. Ellis at catcher against the left-handed Patrick Corbin for Arizona.

The only lineup change for the D-backs is Jarrod Saltalamacchia getting the call behind the plate in the series finale.
