On our first 2016 edition of the True Blue LA podcast, Jacob Burch and I talk pitching, specifically the additions of Scott Kazmir (officially) and Kenta Maeda (unofficially), as well as trying to decipher the details of each rather unconventional contract.
We did also discuss the waiting for the Maeda contract to become official, and that one reason for either the hold up or the reported low guarantee was for medical reasons, which was before this tweet from Jerry Crasnick of ESPN:
Source says #Dodgers-Kenta Maeda deal is taking a while because of concerns over his elbow. Expected to be official in next day or 2.

We also delve into the mailbag for questions, including who will play second base for the Dodgers, some thoughts on the bullpen, prospects, and starting rotations in both Los Angeles and Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Other topics include Alex Anthopoulos reportedly joining a growing Dodgers baseball operations department, an ideal Dodgers road trip in 2016, and how Street Fighter is suddenly more relevant, plus whether New Year's Eve or Day are overrated holidays.
