NLDS schedule update: Game time scenarios, probable pitchers after Dodgers-Nationals rainout

Series resumes Sunday morning in Washington

With Saturday’s rain out and postponement of Game 2 of the NLDS, this is as good a time as any to reset and see where we are at with the schedule for the remainder of Dodgers vs. Nationals.

This series was already chock full of day games, but the rescheduling of Game 2 to Sunday gives us our first morning game of the series, at least for those of us out west. There is also the added burden of traveling cross country and playing yet another day game on Monday in Los Angeles.

Monday’s 1:08 p.m. PT start could be pushed back two hours, but it requires both American League Division Series to end in sweeps on Sunday. The Indians, up 2-0, are in Boston for Game 3 against the Red Sox, followed by the Blue Jays at home trying to sweep away the Rangers.

There is also the fact that moving Game 2 removes the opportunity for either team to bring back their Game 2 starter on full rest in Game 5, and thus far less likely to push the Game 1 starters to go on short rest in Game 4.

Factoring all of that in, here is the schedule for the remainder of the NLDS, with probable pitching matchups my educated guess beyond Game 3.
