Dodgers outfielder Alex Verdugo hit a home run overnight for the Mexico national baseball team in the second game of their exhibition series against Japan on Friday at the Tokyo Dome.
Verdugo started in center field for the second straight game, and was 1-for-3. His home run against right-hander Yusuke Nomura.

Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez was there for Team Mexico as well, though more in a coaching role for these games.

Japanese sensation Shohei Otani started in right field and batted third for Japan, and went 2-for-4 with a double and two walks in Japan’s 11-4 win.
The two teams split the two games in Tokyo.
Verdugo is expected to finish out the Arizona Fall League schedule next week.
