Video highlights of the first spring game for the Dodgers

Welcome back, baseball

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The Dodgers came out on top in the first game of spring with a 6-1 victory over the White Sox. It was a welcome visual to have Clayton Kershaw on the mound and actual baseball being played.

Several Dodgers had a successful opener Thursday for Dave Robert's managerial debut. It all started with Kershaw on the mound as he struck out two in his first start of 2016.

Alex Guerrero was 2-for-3 at the plate with a solo shot to left field.

Yasiel Puig and Yasmani Grandal each smacked an RBI-single.

The Dodgers will be back on the field Friday on the road in Surprise to face the Rangers.

The first game has passed now and the countdown is slowly shrinking in number on the way to opening day. As of Thursday, the countdown has reached 32.
