LOS ANGELES -- Fox announced the majority of its national broadcast schedule for the 2016 MLB season on Thursday, including several Dodgers games on various Saturdays throughout the summer.
The new main broadcasting crew on Fox is the enduring Joe Buck on play-by-play alongside John Smoltz as analyst, and that duo will begin its season with the Dodgers' April 9 game against the Giants in San Francisco, a 1 p.m. PT game on Fox Sports 1.
All Saturday broadcasts on Fox are exclusive to Fox and will not be seen on SportsNet LA. The Saturday games on Fox Sports 1, however, are not exclusive. Those games will be available on SportsNet LA as will as Fox Sports 1, with no blackout in the Los Angeles area.
New Dodgers announcer Joe Davis will broadcast Fox and Fox Sports 1 games throughout the season, and one would think he might get a few Dodgers assignments along the way.
Here is a list of the Dodgers games on Fox and Fox Sports 1 this season, with more potentially added throughout the season:
Saturday, April 9 at Giants, 1 p.m. (Fox Sports 1)
Saturday, May 28 at Mets, 4 p.m. (Fox)
Saturday, June 11 at Giants, 4 p.m. (Fox)
Saturday, June 25 at Pirates, 4 p.m. (Fox)
Saturday, July 9 vs. Padres, 4 p.m. (Fox)
Saturday, Aug. 6 vs. Red Sox, 1 p.m. (Fox Sports 1)
Saturday, Aug. 13 vs Pirates, 1 p.m. (Fox Sports 1)
Saturday, Aug. 27 vs. Cubs, 1 p.m. (Fox Sports 1)
The Dodgers also are currently scheduled for four ESPN Sunday Night Baseball games in the first half of the season, plus their opening day contest in San Diego on April 4 will be televised nationally by ESPN as well, with no blackouts.
