Only two games on Monday and they were split; Rancho Cucamonga won and Oklahoma City lost.  Tulsa's game was postponed and a doubleheader is scheduled for Wednesday that will include the makeup game.

Player of the day

Right-handed starter Yaisel Sierra continues to pitch every five days for the Quakes and on Monday, he had a solid game, going six innings, allowing three runs and eight hits while striking out six.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Dodgers lost their second straight to the 51s (Mets) and it wasn't close, losing 12-4 on Monday night.  The 51s had 16 hits and 8 walks and took control of the game in the second inning when they scored five runs to take a 6-0 lead.

Jeremy Khert started for the Dodgers and he gave up eight runs in 4⅓ innings.  The game moved along until the ninth inning when the 51s scored three runs and then the Dodgers came up with their four runs.  As noted by Oklahoma City play-by-play broadcaster, Alex Freedman, many pitches were made in that inning.

The Dodgers will try to even up their series with the 51s in their matinee finale on Tuesday.

Double-A Tulsa

The Drillers game against the Cardinals was postponed and will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday May 18th.

The Quakes took their third out of four games against the 66ers (Angels) on Monday with a 5-3 win.  The Quakes got strong pitching by Yaisel Sierra, Joe Broussard and Scott Griggs.  While those three gave up 10 hits, they also combined for 12 strikeouts while not walking anyone.

Centerfielder Johan Mieses was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.  Rehabbing designated hitter Alex Guerrero had two hits.  Joey Curletta and Pin-Chieh Chin also homered for the Quakes.
