Oklahoma City and Great Lakes each lose in a limited schedule for Dodger minor league affiliates.

Player of the Day

Not many choices with just two games and both loses to boot so today it is catcher/utility player Austin Barnes who went 2-for-4 with a stolen base on Monday.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The River Cats (Giants) were able to rally with none on and two out to score the walk-off run in their 4-3 win over the Dodgers.  Jacob Rhame took the loss as he allowed a game-winning single to Mitch Delfino with runners on first and second.

Sam LeCure started and went five innings, allowed three runs (two earned), nine hits and struck out one hitter.  Frankie Montas made his first rehab appearance for the Dodgers and he pitched a scoreless inning allowing two hits and striking out two.

The Dodgers rallied to score three runs in the eighth to tie the game.  With the bases loaded and one out, a wild pitch scored the first run and then with two out, Rob Segedin hit a grounder to second but a bad throw allowed both runners to score to tie the game.

Double-A Tulsa

There were no Texas League games scheduled on Monday.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes played a double-header on Sunday and due to that, both the Quakes and Rawhide were only California League teams not scheduled on Monday.  There are no California League games scheduled on Tuesday.

Class-A Great Lakes

The Loons dropped their series finale 5-1 against the Hot Rods (Rays) on Monday.  Despite carrying a 2.74 ERA, Loons right-hander Dennis Santana took his sixth loss of the season.

Santana was activated from the 7-day disabled list prior to this start and Santana pitched five innings.  He allowed four runs (two earned), three hits, four walks and struck out two.

But the Loons were not helped by their bats going 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position.  Christian Gomez second home run of the season accounted for the only run of the game.

Jharel Cotton and Willie Calhoun earned Pitcher and Player of the Week honors in their respective leagues.  You can read more about that here.
