Another split day for Dodger affiliates, Tulsa and Great Lakes won while Oklahoma City and Rancho Cucamonga lost on Friday

Player of the day

Brock Stewart picked up his first win as he continued to put good work in at Tulsa.  Stewart struck out eight in six innings, allowing one unearned run, three hits, and walked two.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Dodgers traveled to Colorado and took on the Sky Sox (Brewers) on Friday and despite their altitude, lost a close 3-1 game to Sky Sox.  Jeremy Kehrt took the loss, giving up three runs (two earned) in 5⅓ innings.

Zach Walters and Jack Ramsey each had two hits, the Dodgers were struck out 14 times by Sky Sox pitchers and were 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

Double-A Tulsa

The Drillers took an early lead and went on to beat the Travelers (Angels) 9-2.   Drew Maggi had two triples and Andrew Toles had two doubles which helped the Drillers take a 5-0 lead.

Brock Stewart was the beneficiary of that lead and he held the Travelers to just an unearned run in six innings.  Ralston Cash allowed another run in his inning but that was it for the Travelers as Grant Dayton struck out five in the final two innings.

Kyle Farmer had two hits and Paul Hoenecke was 3-for-3.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Mavericks (Rangers) scored three runs in the first and then scored the last four runs and defeated the Quakes 7-2 in the first game of their series.

Tommy Bergjans gave up six runs in six innings on six hits, including three home runs.

Quakes received eight walks but also struck out 13 times.

Class-A Great Lakes

The Loons managed just three hits but still beat the Kernels (Twins) 2-1.  A single by Matt Jones drove in the go-ahead (and ultimately winning) run for the Loons.

Starter Michael Boyle allowed a run in five innings, Ivan Vietez, who got the win, and Brian Bass, each pitched a pair of scoreless innings.

Double-A: Tulsa Drillers activated catcher Kyle Farmer from the 7-day disabled list. High-A: Left-handed pitcher Philip Pfeifer assigned to Rancho Cucamonga from Great Lakes; placed right-handed pitcher Bubby Rossman on the 7-day disabled list.  Class-A: Right-handed pitcher Ivan Vieitez assigned to Great Lakes from Ogden.
