Michael Boyle pitches well in Great Lakes loss

Oklahoma City and Great Lakes both lost again on Tuesday.

Player of the day

Loons left-hander Michael Boyle matched a season high seven innings pitched on Tuesday against Bowling Green.  Boyle gave up just one run on four hits, two walks and one strikeout.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Cubs scored four unearned runs in the first inning on their way to a 11-6 win over the Dodgers at Oklahoma City.  Zach Lee did not get much defensive support in that inning as O'Koyea Dickson committed two errors that led to four runs.

Lee would ultimately pitch four innings, allow seven runs (two earned), seven hits, two walks and three strikeouts.  Jordan Schafer had his roughest outing yet, allowing four runs in two innings pitched.  Schafer did have four strikeouts.

Scott Van Slyke continued his rehab, he played left field and went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk.  Austin Barnes was 2-for-5.

Double-A Tulsa

The Drillers and RoughRiders (Rangers) were rained out and a double header was scheduled for today, Wednesday June 1st.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes were off on Tuesday.

Class-A Great Lakes

Michael Boyle pitched seven solid innings and the Loons scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to take a one-run lead/  However, the Loons' bullpen allowed a pair of two-run innings and the White Caps (Tigers) won 5-2.

Garrett Harrison gave up two runs in the eighth on three hits and Brian Bass followed by allowing two runs (one earned) in the ninth.

The Loons only had four hits in the game and they scored their two runs on just one hit.  After Matt Jones walked, Brendon Davis doubled Jones home for the then tying run.  Davis would move to third on a ground out and then Davis scored on a sacrifice fly by Garrett Hope.
