Rancho Cucamonga and all the Dodger Rookie affiliates won on Thursday.  Oklahoma City and Great Lakes saw their games slip away late while Tulsa's game was postponed due to rain.

Player of the day

Right-handed pitcher Imani Abdullah pitched five innings and allowed just a run on five hits and struck out three.  Abdullah also has a 13/1 strikeout to walk ratio (39 strikeouts with only three walks).

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Dodgers and the Aces (Diamondbacks) were tied 2-2 going to the bottom of the eighth.  Then an error by Rob Segedin helped the Aces score two runs and the Aces won the first game of their series by a 4-2 score.

The late-inning loss should not diminish the start by Brock Stewart.  Stewart struck out eight in six innings.  He also allowed two runs and eight hits.  Mike Bolsinger took the tough loss.

Corey Brown hit his 12th home run and Micah Johnson drove in the then tying run in the eighth inning.

Double-A Tulsa

The Drillers and the Travelers (Angels) were rained out.  They will play this game as part of a double-header on July 22nd.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes won 3-1 over the 66ers (Angels) on Thursday night.  Josh Sborz gave up a run in four innings pitched.  Alex Burgos got the win and Jeff Mahm finished the game and picked up his third save.

Mike Ahmed hit his 10th home run.  Edwin Rios was 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Class-A Great Lakes

The Loons led 5-1 going to the bottom of the seventh but then back to back three-run innings and the Bees (Angels) won 7-6 over the Loons.

Jared Walsh capped a 4-for-4 game with a three-run home run off Angel German to take the lead.

Imani Abdullah started for the Loons and the Player of the day pitched well as noted above.

Omar Estevez extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a two-run home run.

The Raptors defeated the Osprey (Diamondbacks) 10-4 behind a 9 hit and 9 walks received attack.  Brock Carpenter went 3-for-5 with a double, home run and four RBI.
