Tulsa and Ogden each enjoyed big wins while Oklahoma City, Rancho Cucamonga, and AZL Dodgers drop tough one run games. The Dominican Rookie teams split their games.
Player of the day
Tulsa Driller second baseman Willie Calhoun hit two home runs in Tulsa's win on Tuesday. Calhoun hit a solo home run in the sixth inning and then capped a five run inning with his two-run shot in the seventh.
Triple-A Oklahoma City
The Dodgers continue to lose tough games Tacoma as they saw the Rainiers (Mariners) win their second straight walk-off game by a 5-4 score. With one out, Jacob Rhame gave up a single to Norichika Aoki and then Guillermo Herediaa hit two-run home run to beat the Dodgers.
Prior to that, Rob Segedin hit a two-run home run that gave the Dodgers a one-run lead in the eighth inning.
Logan Bawcom made a spot start and pitched six one-run innings. Bawcom gave up four hits, three walks and struck out two. Mike Bolsinger followed and he gave up two runs that gave the Rainers the lead before Segedin's home run.
Rob Segedin went 3-for-4 with a double to go with his home run.
Double-A Tulsa
The Drillers scored five runs in the seventh inning and went on to beat the Naturals (Royals) 7-1 on Tuesday. Jeremy Kehtt pitched six scoreless innings and got the win.
Shawn Zarraga had three hits, Tim Locastro, Kyle Garlick and Drew Maggi each had two hits. Willie Calhoun also had two hits, those being home runs.
Class-A Rancho Cucamonga
The JetHawks (Astros) won 5-4 over the Quakes and split their four-game series. Dodger right-handed reliever Yimi Garcia made his first rehab appearance. Garcia gave up a solo home run in his inning.
Joshua Sborz pitched 4⅔ innings and gave up four runs (two earned), four hits, two walks and struck out eight.
Erick Mejia, Brandon Trinkwon, Edwin Rios, Joey Curletta and Johan Mieses each had two hits. Edwin Rios hit his 10th double and 14th home run.
Rookie - Ogden
The Raptors beat the Brewers 7-1 behind a 17-hit attack on Tuesday. D.J. Peters, Keibert Ruiz and Errol Robinson each had three hits. Mitchell Hansen, Cody Thomas and Jordan Paroubeck had two hit games.
Willian Soto pitched four innings for the win.
Rookie - Arizona
AZL Cubs took a one-run game over the AZL Dodgers by a 7-6 score. The Dodgers had 12 hits and six walks but only went 4-for-21 with runners in scoring position
Dominican Summer League - Dodgers One & Dodgers Two
The DSL Dodgers One dropped a 5-2 decision to the Mariners One while Dodgers Two shutout the Phillies for a 1-0 win.
