Corey Seager returns to the Dodgers lineup after missing three games with a nasty stomach bug. He starts at shortstop against the Cardinals, his first game since Sunday.

Seager isn't the only one back.

Yasmani Grandal starts at catcher, one day after he was unavailable as well. A.J. Ellis started Thursday against the Nationals, as expected with the day game after a night game, but Grandal wasn't even available as a pinch hitter, also suffering from a stomach bug.

Neither Seager nor Grandal were used as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning on Thursday. Instead, pitcher Kenta Maeda did the honors, and struck out.

Justin Turner is back in the three hole, with Adrian Gonzalez batting cleanup to avoid three consecutive left-handed batters in the lineup.

Yasiel Puig, who exited Thursday's game with right hamstring tightness, is not in the lineup on Friday. Instead, Scott Van Slyke gets the call in right field, batting eighth. Manager Dave Roberts said Puig could return to the lineup as early as Sunday, per Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register.
