Rancho Cucamonga and Great Lakes won, Oklahoma City and Tulsa lost.  One Dominican team lost, the other one played until the game was suspended.

Player of the day

Johan Mieses went 4-for-5 with two three-run home runs and two doubles on Monday night at LoanMart Field.  The outfielder has played this season exclusively at Rancho Cucamonga.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Zephyrs (Marlins) scored four runs in the first and then three more in the second on their way to a 9-3 win over the Dodgers.  Jose De Leon pitched his shortest start in 2016, going just 1⅓ innings and giving up seven runs, eight hits, two walks and striking out one.

Drew Maggi went 2-for-4 with two doubles, Rob Segedin, Will Venable and O'Koyea Dickson also had two hits.

Mike Bolsinger pitched three innings of scoreless relief, striking out three.

Double-A Tulsa

The Cardinals had led 5-4 but then scored four more in the eighth to win 9-4 over the Drillers.  Tim Shibuya gave up five runs in five innings.  Yimi Garcia made his first appearance as he continues his rehab.

Garcia struck out four in his scoreless two inning appearance.

Willie Calhoun went 2-for-4 with a double, Alex Verdugo, TIm Locastro and Vinny DiFazio also had two hits.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes defeated the 66ers (Angels) 12-1 and you can find the recap here.

Class-A Great Lakes

The Loons fell behind early but then came back to beat LumberKings 8-6.  Yadier Alvarez made his second Midwest League start and he matched the ten strikeouts he had in his first start.  This time it only took four innings and Alvarez also allowed three hits and four runs (two earned).

Trailing 4-1, the Loons scored two runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to take a lead. But by the eighth, the LumberKings led 6-5.

The Loons loaded the bases and then Saige Jenco hit a double to drive in two and that was followed by single by Zach McKinstry to score Jenco.
