Oklahoma City and Rancho Cucamonga won while Tulsa dropped their game in the 10th.  Only one Rookie League team won a game:  Ogden lost one and was behind in their second game that was suspended and AZL Dodgers' comeback fell short; the Dominican Dodgers One won while Dodgers Two lost a one-run game.

Player of the day

Grant Holmes continues his season with the Quakes as he reached 100 innings in the last week of July.  Last year, the 20-year old Holmes pitched 103⅓ innings in his first full season, this year he could reach close to 130 innings.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Dodgers pushed across the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth and went on to win 3-2 over the Redbirds (Cardinals).  Shawn Zarraga singled with two out to drive in Corey Brown with the eventual winning run.

Logan Bawcom started and pitched six scoreless innings.  Bawcom allowed five hits, one walk and struck out three. Julio Urias came into the game in the seventh and in his second inning of work, Urias gave up two runs, the first runs he's allowed in 29 PCL innings.

Urias did get the win and Grant Dayton got his fourth save.

Rob Segedin took Cardinal pitching prospect Alex Reyes deep with a two-run home run.

Double-A Tulsa

The Cardinals scored two runs in the eighth and then one in the tenth to win 4-3 over the Drillers.  The Drillers had a chance to tie the game in the bottom of the inning but with runners on second and third, Vinny DiFazio struck out and Jordan Tarsovich flied out.  The Drillers were 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position.

Scott Barlow started and gave up an unearned run in five innings.

Kyle Garlick went 2-for-5 with a triple, Jacob Scavuzzo hit a pinch-hit solo home run.  Cody Bellinger was 1-for-1 with three walks and a sacrifice fly.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes scored four runs in the first inning on their way to a 8-2 victory over the 66ers (Angels).  Grant Holmes used on 60 pitches in his five-inning start and Holmes got his eighth win of the season.

Kiké Hernandez played his second rehab game and he went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk.  Hernandez is now headed to Tulsa for two games.

Three other Quakes had multi-hit games, Edwin Rios had three hits including a double and two RBI, Johan Mieses followed his four hit night with two hits and two RBI.  Mike Ahmed was 2-for-2 with two walks.

Pioneer - Ogden

The Brewers beat the Raptors 8-4 and then the Raptors fell behind 5-0 in the first inning of the second game before it was suspended.

Mitchell Hansen was 3-for-4 with a home run and a triple, Luis Paz also homered.

Austin French took the loss, he started and gave up four runs in 1⅔ innings.

Arizona League - AZL Dodgers

Trailing 11-4 going to the bottom of the eighth, the AZL Dodgers scored two runs in the eighth and then three runs in the ninth but fell short in their 11-9 loss to the AZL White Sox.

Hendrick Clementina was 2-for-4 with a home run.

Dominican Summer League - Dodgers One & Dodgers Two
