Oklahoma City took one of two, Tulsa and Rancho Cucamonga lost while Great Lakes and Ogden won their games.
Player of the day
Rob Segedin is getting close to setting career season highs with the Dodgers. His 20 home runs is double his high of ten in 2012. His .309/.384/.590 represents his best hitting season. Segedin has still not yet played an inning in the majors.
Triple-A Oklahoma City
The Dodgers and Redbirds (Cardinals) split a pair of games, the Redbirds won the makeup game 6-5 while the Dodgers won the second game 5-2.
Jharel Cotton started the first game and went five innings, allowing four runs, six hits and struck out six. This was the fifth start in his last seven where Cotton has given up four or more runs.
Drew Maggi had two hits to pace the offense in the first game.
In the second game, Brock Stewart started and pitched six innings. Stewart gave up a run, two hits, one walk and struck out three. Rob Segedin hit his 20th home run of the season.
Double-A Tulsa
The Drillers lost 10-6 to the Travelers (Angels) on Thursday. Yimi Garcia made his second rehab appearance for Tulsa and he was only able to get one out.
In the seventh and Tulsa leading by a run, Garcia entered the game and after striking out the first batter, he had a hit batter, a single and then a run scoring double. Garcia left the game but both runners he left would score. The Travelers would score five runs and take the lead and eventually the game.
Shortstop Tim Locastro had four hits and is hitting .340 in the Texas League. Locastro has struck out only twice and has no walks in 54 plate appearances with the Drillers.
Kiké Hernandez continues his rehab, Thursday was the first of two games he will play with the Drillers. He went 0-for-4 in his first game with the team.
Class-A Rancho Cucamonga
Dodger left-handed pitcher Brett Anderson's first rehab start was a highlight in the Mavericks (Rangers) 8-3 win over the Quakes. Here is a recap of that performance.
Class-A Great Lakes
The Loons beat the Dragons (Reds) 7-5 behind a 16 hit attack. Darien Tubbs, Luke Raley, and Will Smith each had three hits and every starter had at least one hit.
Brian Bass got the win and Shea Spitzbarth got a two-inning save, he struck out five and gave up a hit and a walk.
Pioneer - Ogden
The Raptors won by a run over the Owlz (Angels) with their 3-2 win. Three Raptors each pitched three innings and overall, they allowed two runs (one earned), six hits, two walks and four strikeouts. Dean Kremer started, Jorge Gonzalez got the win and Andrew Istler got the three inning save.
Three Raptors had two hits, Mitchell Hansen, Ibandel Isabel and Gersel Pitrie.
Arizona League - AZL Dodgers
AZL Mariners defeated the AZL Dodgers 5-3. Leonardo Crawford started for the Dodgers and pitched five innings. He gave up three runs, six hits, a walk struck out eight.
Gavin Lux went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
Dominican Summer League - Dodgers One & Dodgers Two
The Dodgers One took down the Cubs Two 7-4 while the Red Sox One beat the Dodgers Two by a 7-5 score.
