With a little more than 24 hours left before Monday's non-waiver trade deadline, the Dodgers haven't made any moves yet but are still linked to the usual suspects. But as the deadline is fast approaching, everything is heightened, including speculation at lineup decisions.
For instance, Jay Bruce was originally in the lineup for the Reds on Sunday afternoon in San Diego, but was scratched, just given a day off. Suuuuure.
Jay Bruce has been scratched. Just a mental blow, Price said. We'll see.

48 hours ago, those close to Jay Bruce were saying "90 percent Dodgers". Seems like LA has had trouble matching up on 2-teamer with Reds.
— Chris Cotillo (@ChrisCotillo) July 31, 2016
The Dodgers have been linked to Bruce, as they have to various Tampa Bay pitchers, including Chris Archer and Matt Moore, both of whom pitched at Dodger Stadium this week.
Sources: #Dodgers pursuing #Rays’ Archer. One of many pitching options under consideration. Likely weighing values of other TB starters too.
— Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) July 31, 2016
#Rays believe #Dodgers are one of about four teams with talent to land Archer. Question now is whether any of those clubs will meet price.
— Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) July 31, 2016
Have heard Dodgers connected with Rays starter Matt Moore. The price would be steep, but less than the ask for Chris Archer. Who knows, man.
— Andy McCullough (@McCulloughTimes) July 31, 2016
dodgers talking about archer and/or moore from TB, as @jaysonst @Ken_Rosenthal said. not much Sale talk around LAD lately

This makes the lineup or Double-A Tulsa all the more noteworthy.
Here is the Lineup for our series finale! Game pres. by #GreenCountryChevy @KJRH2HD & @khitstulsa pic.twitter.com/A3q32iio2K

Absent are first baseman Cody Bellinger and center fielder Alex Verdugo, lineup decisions the Dodgers are trying to downplay, naturally.
Bellinger, Verdugo out of #Dodgers’ lineup at AA. Source says it is "random" and not related to trades.
— Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) July 31, 2016
"Random" is an odd word choice there.
Was told the same as @Ken_Rosenthal: No trade happening with Cody Bellinger and Alex Verdugo, two Dodgers prospects out of their AA lineup.
— Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) July 31, 2016
Sources say Dodgers have pulled OF Alex Verdugo & 1B Cody Bellinger were both pulled from lineup today at double-A Tulsa. Stay tuned.
— Jayson Stark (@jaysonst) July 31, 2016
Source now saying not to read anything into Dodgers prospects Cody Bellinger & Alex Verdugo getting a rest. We'd never overreact to that!
— Jayson Stark (@jaysonst) July 31, 2016
The rumors also include other options at both pitcher and outfielder.
#Dodgers well-positioned to land Jay Bruce or Josh Reddick in the next 24 hours.
— Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) July 31, 2016
#Dodgers tried for Hill/Reddick package, as @pgammo reported. #BlueJays also contacted #Athletics about both players, per sources.
— Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) July 31, 2016
dodgers sought reddick/hill package, @pgammo said. they liked hill in winter (if anderson declined QO), JR the rhh needed.
— Jon Heyman (@JonHeyman) July 31, 2016
Reddick bats left-handed, but point stands.
Oh, and if complicated, multi-team deals are more your bag, there is this fun Jonathan Lucroy nugget ...
dodgers were another team that had talks on lucroy. tho word is, at time it was part of a bigger deal involving more teams.
— Jon Heyman (@JonHeyman) July 31, 2016
Stands to reason #Brewers will continue trying to move Lucroy. #Dodgers indeed were in mix, likely spinning him elsewhere. @Jonheyman on it.
— Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) July 31, 2016
Dodgers have talked Lucroy, and their other catchers, including Austin Barnes, are drawing interest from other teams, according to sources.
— Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) July 31, 2016
Still a day left for the rumors to fly!
