The Dodgers for a third consecutive week split six games, winning two of three in Philadelphia and dropping two of the first three games in Cincinnati. But they started and ended the week on high notes, giving a nice bookend to Week 20.
The week began with a 15-run outburst to match the best game on offense for the club this season, and it ended with a 20-year-old pitching the best game of his career to date to play stopper.
Batter of the week
Chase Utley returned to Philadelphia in style, homering twice in his first game back in his old home on Tuesday, including a grand slam, and got two curtain calls as a visiting player in the city of brotherly love. On the week Utley hit .318/.348/.727 with three home runs and seven RBI, one of five Dodgers regulars with an OPS of at least .988.
Pitcher of the week
Julio Urias delivered in a big way on Sunday when the Dodgers really needed it, helping to snap a three-game skid with six scoreless innings to beat the Reds. Urias struck out six and walked none.
