Oklahoma City wins 4-2, Brett Anderson pitches 5 solid innings in rehab start

Brett Anderson gave up one run in a successful five inning rehab start; Will Venable's two-run single puts Dodgers ahead

Oklahoma City won 4-2 and will try to tie the series today with Scott Kazmir on the mound.  Great Lakes and Clinton are tied 1-1 as they play Game 3 at Great Lakes today.

Player of the day

Los Angeles Dodger left-handed pitcher Brett Anderson made a rehab start and pitched an efficient five innings.  Anderson threw 54 pitches in five innings and got eight groundouts and five strikeouts during that time.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Dodgers beat the Chihuahuas (Padres) 4-2 on Friday night to win their first game in the Pacific Coast League Championship Series.  The Chihuahuas still lead two games to one game with Game 4 set for tonight at Oklahoma City.

Los Angeles Dodger left-handed pitcher Brett Anderson made a rehab start for Oklahoma City and he pitched a solid and efficient five innings.  Anderson got eight groundouts and five strikeouts, the only blemish was a second inning solo home run.

The Dodgers tied the game in the third inning when Kyle Farmer doubled and Alex Verdugo singled him home.

In the seventh inning, Pacific Coast League 2016 MVP, Hunter Renfroe led off with a double.  Renfroe would score the go-ahead run on Diego Goris' single.

In the bottom of the seventh, Cody Bellinger led off with a single and Kyle Farmer walked.  Alex Verdugo successfully sacrificed the runners to second and third.  The Chihuahuas intentionally walked Chris Taylor which then brought up Will Venable with the bases-loaded and one out.

Venable's single scored Bellinger and Farmer which gave the Dodgers their first lead of the game

Jack Murphy drove in Chris Taylor as the third run of the inning on a two-out single to give the Dodgers a two-run lead. Jacob Rhame came in to close the game with a two-inning save.

Class-A Great Lakes

The Loons and LumberKings (Mariners) had a travel day on Friday, the series picks up with Game 3 at Great Lakes today.

Triple-A: Los Angeles sent left-handed pitcher Brett Anderson on a rehab assignment to Oklahoma City; Oklahoma City placed outfielder O'Koyea Dickson on the 7-day disabled list; infielder Willie Calhoun assigned to Oklahoma City from Tulsa.
