LOS ANGELES — Dodgers minor league outfielder Mitchell Hansen had surgery to remove bone spurs from his elbow on Tuesday, and is expected to be sidelined for roughly six to eight weeks.

The procedure was the same as outfielder Jacob Scavuzzo, who had surgery last Tuesday.

Hansen was drafted by the Dodgers in the second round in 2015 out of Plano, Texas. The left-hander hit .311/.356/.491 with 11 home runs in 70 games for rookie-level Ogden in 2016.

Hansen, who turns 21 in May, was ranked by our David Hood as the 16th-best Dodgers prospect heading into 2017.
