Between Yasiel Puig’s much improved hitting and all-around return to maximum Puig during the 2017 season, the Dodgers’ right fielder had himself a great year. The 26-year-old was also big on making predictions over the last few months.

“I’ll see you in the World Series,” Puig said back in August with still two months to go before that would be decided. He guaranteed there would be a Game 7 after the Astros won a crazy Game 5 to take a 3-2 lead in the series.

Puig — nominated for a Gold Glove Award — took to Twitter Tuesday after it was announced that Jason Heyward would instead take home the hardware.

In the final season of his seven year, $42 million contract with the Dodgers, it looks like Puig has talked himself into extra motivation for 2018.
