Making music videos as a baseball team used to be a thing. It wouldn't be the worst idea in the world for a team to make a similar video today. You can't tell me there aren't players and teams that would do this. The lip-syncing, cheesy lyrics and dance moves make for a very entertaining combo.
Rick Monday, Orel Hershiser, Fernando Valenzuela and the rest of the 1986 Dodgers made this piece of art history over 30 years ago. Their performance is a little better than how the team did on the field that year, though that's not saying much.
The best part is around the 2:42 mark when the team is left to improvise while logos from around Los Angeles fly across the screen because there was no way Major League Baseball was letting their name go on this project.
We all owe a debt of gratitude for whatever it was that inspired this video.
