"Showstopper" is a profile of Seager, the Dodgers’ big-hitting phenom and reigning National League rookie of the year. Although his 6-4 frame isn’t built for shortstop, his work ethic and meticulous preparation are. The piece also explores Seager’s fear of failure as the catalyst behind his hard work and his success.
Seager will be looking to crush any chances of there being a sophomore slump as he looks to build on an incredible rookie campaign. The story is a good look into his relationship with his brother, hitting coach and plenty of other interesting tidbits, including the first time Cal Ripken Jr. met him and the comparison between the two.
