On Tuesday, the Drillers won their matinee game but the other three teams lost their games on Tuesday night.
Player of the day
Scott Barlow, right-handed pitcher for the Drillers, started and pitched five innings. He allowed a run, three hits, walked one and struck out three.
Triple-A Oklahoma City
OKC lost a rain shortened game 3-1 to the Nashville Sounds (Athletics). Trevor Oaks gave up two runs and four hits in five innings pitched. He also struck out seven and walked two.
Rob Segedin provided the only offense, he hit his second home run of the season and was 2-for-3. Willie Calhoun had the only other hit.
Double-A Tulsa
The Drillers scored three runs in the ninth inning to take the series finale by a 4-1 score over the Frisco RoughRiders (Rangers). Paul Hoenecke got the key hit, a single with the bases loaded, that drove in two runs. Matt Beaty also had a run-scoring single.
After Barlow pitched his five innings, Yaisel Sierra and Joe Broussard each pitched two scoreless innings, Broussard’s effort gave him the win.
