LOS ANGELES — Top Dodgers prospects and several players with major league experience highlight the Triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers’ 2017 opening day roster, announced on Tuesday.

Cody Bellinger, the organization’s top position player prospect, and rated by our David Hood as the club’s top overall prospect, starts the season where he ended last year. Bellinger, 21, ended 2016 by going 6-for-11 with three home runs in three games after a promotion to Oklahoma City, and played with them through the Pacific Coast League playoffs.

He is joined by fellow top prospects outfielder Alex Verdugo and second baseman Willie Calhoun, both of whom were teammates with Bellinger last year in Double-A Tulsa and were, like Bellinger, non-roster invitees to big league camp this spring.

Also included on the OKC roster are outfielder Trayce Thompson, infielders Charlie Culberson and Chris Taylor, corner man Rob Segedin, catcher Bobby Wilson, and pitchers Josh Fields, Adam Liberatore and Brandon Morrow, all among the final Dodgers roster cuts in spring training.

Other 2017 non-roster invitees to spring training who find themselves in Oklahoma City include Tyler Holt, O`Koyea Dickson, Darnell Sweeney, Patrick Schuster, Fabio Castillo, Steve Geltz, and Madison Younginer.

Trevor Oaks leads the Oklahoma City starting rotation, which also includes Castillo, Wilmer Font, Jair Jurrjens and Justin Masterson, plus likely a start this weekend from Julio Urias.

Bill Haselman is in his second year as manager of Oklahoma City, and his fourth year in the Dodgers system. His coaching staff returns intact, including pitching coach Matt Herges, hitting coach Shawn Wooten and coach Luis Matos.

Oklahoma City opens their season at home on Thursday night at 5 p.m. PT against Iowa, the start of a five-game series.
