Dodgers try to keep streaks alive vs. Reds

MLB: Miami Marlins at Los Angeles Dodgers Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

The Dodgers will try to extend a series of streaks on Saturday night in the middle game of their three-game weekend set against the Reds at Dodger Stadium.

The club has won two straight overall, and have beaten the Reds seven straight times at Dodger Stadium dating back to 2015.

Alex Wood is back off the disabled list to start for the Dodgers, carrying a five-game winning streak of his own into Saturday night. In addition, Wood has four straight scoreless starts, and an active scoreless streak of 25⅓ innings.

The Dodgers scored seven runs in the series opener, the club’s 24th time scoring six or more runs in 2017, tied for fifth-most in baseball. The Dodgers are 21-3 in such games.

If we lower the threshold to five runs, the Dodgers are 27-5 when scoring five or more runs in 2017.
