Yasiel Puig hit a two-run home run, Clayton Kershaw pitched seven strong innings, and Cody Bellinger broke a tie by taking the great Andrew Miller deep in the eighth inning. That was the first of two home runs on the night for Bellinger, lifting the Dodgers over the Indians in their first interleague game of 2017 on Tuesday night at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
The insurance runs helped as the Indians rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth, but Kenley Jansen was able to close the door on the win.
It was the Dodgers' first visit to Cleveland since 2013.
