With their win on Tuesday night over the Angels, the Dodgers completed one of their most successful homestands since Dodger Stadium opened in 1962. By winning eight of nine games on this homestand, the Dodgers had their best homestand in 24 years.
I looked back 55 seasons at every Dodgers homestand, and including this one there have been 16 homestands at least nine games long with a winning percentage of .800 or higher.

There was an 11-3 (.786) homestand in from May 15-27, 1962, in the first year of Dodger Stadium, that just missed the cut. But that season did see an even better homestand. From July 27 to Aug. 9, the Dodgers were 11-2 against the Giants, Pirates, Cubs, Mets and Phillies.
The LA Dodgers record for consecutive home wins in 13, set in 1993 and matched in 2009 when the club opened the year 13-0 at Dodger Stadium. In the middle of that 13-game streak in 1993 lies the only undefeated homestand of eight games or more for the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.
That 1993 club started just 14-22, but were over .500 after the undefeated nine-game homestand, which included three-game sweeps of the Reds, Rockies, and Padres.
During that undefeated 1993 homestand, the Dodgers outscored their opponents 58-26, beating their foes by an average of 3.56 runs per game. On this just-completed homestand, the 2017 Dodgers outscored their opponents 62-22, an average differential of 4.44 runs per game.
That 1965 homestand was noteworthy in that it ended the season. The Dodgers were in third place with 16 games remaining, 4½ games behind the Giants. Los Angeles finished the season 15-1, including six straight road wins before the finishing homestand, to win the pennant.
Sandy Koufax pitched in six of the final 16 regular season games, posting a 1.38 ERA with four complete-game wins, including three shutouts, and one save. The Dodgers then beat the Minnesota Twins in the World Series in seven games.
The 1980 team has two homestands on this list, one at 10-1 and another at 8-1. That team finished 55-27 at home, which stood as the Dodgers’ best home record in Los Angeles before the 2015 team finished 55-26 to beat it.
The 2017 Dodgers are 33-11 at home, on pace to finish a whopping 61-20 at Dodger Stadium.
