After an undefeated week, the Dodgers winning only four of seven games against the Angels and Padres seems kind of underwhelming. But 4-3 is a pace between 92 and 93 wins, and the kind of week that keeps the momentum moving forward.
The Dodgers have had 10 straight winning weeks, since losing four of six games in Week 3, from Apr. 17-23 against the Diamondbacks and Rockies. After that week, the Dodgers are 46-19, the best record in baseball during that span.
They started the week 2½ games up in the division, and the Dodgers ended the week 2½ games clear of Arizona, and knocked another seven games off the schedule.
Batter of the week
Logan Forsythe turned things around last week, collecting hits in eight straight at-bats — two shy of the franchise record — and reaching base in nine straight plate appearances. Forsythe was 10-for-20 (.500) during the week with two doubles and four walks.
Corey Seager continued to stay hot, but also missed three games while dealing with his hamstring strain. Austin Barnes had a great week on Friday alone, with two home runs and seven RBI. Both get honorable mention.
Pitcher of the week
Clayton Kershaw turned in a vintage performance against the Angels, striking out 12 in seven innings, while allowing only one unearned run.
The starting staff as a whole was very good all week, even with the Sunday hiccup by Kenta Maeda. Dodgers starters posted a 2.28 ERA last week, averaging 6.19 innings per start.

The week ahead
The Dodgers run the Willie Bloomquist gauntlet, first taking Monday off before heading into the All-Star break with a homestand against the Diamondbacks and Royals. The rotation for the D-backs series has been set, but the weekend plans are my best guess.
