The Los Angeles Dodgers send out a couple more right-handed bats to back Yu Darvish in his second Dodgers start and face left-hander Anthony Banda and the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight at Chase Field in Phoenix.
Logan Forsythe returns to the starting lineup at second base after a game off and Austin Barnes will do the catching in place of Yasmani Grandal. Kiké Hernandez also starts, but in right field, giving Yasiel Puig a night off, while Joc Pederson stays in center field versus a southpaw.

C | Barnes | C | Iannetta |
CF | Pederson | SS | Marte (S) |
P | Darvish | P | Banda (L) |
This is Banda’s third major-league appearance ever, so he is new to the Dodgers hitters. But the rest of the Arizona’s lineup features batters Los Angeles has already seen this series, in some cases more than enough of, e.g., Jake Lamb and Paul Goldschmidt.
As previously noted here, the Dodgers have not lost a series since June 5-7 with the Washington Nationals. Tonight’s game is the rubber game of this three-game series, so that streak hangs in the balance.
Injury updates
After playing every other day to start his rehabilitation assignment with the Oklahoma City Dodgers, Adrian Gonzalez is back at first base tonight for the second night in a row for the triple-A affiliate.
Rob Segedin also starts in that game at Salt Lake City on his rehabilitation assignment.
