The Los Angeles Dodgers, in search of their tenth win in a row, send Brock Stewart to the mound to face the Atlanta Braves in the middle game of their three-game series.

This is Stewart’s second start of the season. One week ago today the rookie right-hander lasted only 3 23 innings against the Minnesota Twins but was partly undone by the Dodgers defense as all five runs he allowed were unearned. The Dodgers scored in five of the last six innings to win that game 6-5.

Justin Turner gets the night off while Logan Forsythe mans the hot corner; Chase Utley starts at second base and leads off.

Newly acquired Yu Darvish was activated today and issued jersey number 21. He threw a bullpen session today to Austin Barnes with various coaches in attendance. Josh Ravin was optioned back to Oklahoma City to make space on the active roster.

Atlanta is reeling. Since winning two games to start their series in Los Angeles, they have lost nine games in their last ten tries. Julio Teheran toes the rubber attempting to reverse that. In his last start he was roughed up in Philadelphia for eight runs in 4 23 innings.

Brandon Phillips starts at third base for Atlanta. When he takes the field, it will mark his first time at the position in his 16 seasons in the major leagues.
