Only Ogden played on Tuesday but starting today, Tulsa and Rancho Cucamonga start their playoff series with Game 1 in a best-3-out-of-5 series.
Ogden does return home today to start a three-game set against the same Grand Junction Rockies team they just finished playing over in Grand Junction.
Player of the day
Luis Paz had a nice game for the Raptors, he went 3-for-4, with a home run and a walk. Paz scored two runs and drove in three.
Double-A Tulsa
The Drillers start on the road as they travel to play the NW Arkansas Naturals (Royals) in the first game of their playoff series.
Class-A Rancho Cucamonga
The Quakes will travel to Lancaster and take on the JetHawks (Rockies) in first game of their playoff series.
Rookie Pioneer - Ogden
The Raptors led 7-1 going to the bottom of the sixth inning but then the Grand Junction Rockies scored seven unanswered runs in the span of the next three innings to win 8-7 and put off the Raptors celebration of clinching a playoff spot for at least another day.
After making the score 7-4 with three runs in the sixth, the Rockies tied the game in the seventh on a Casey Golden three-run homer. Golden had doubled home two runs in the sixth to give him a five RBI game.
With score tied 7-7, Ramon Marcelino hit a pinch-hit solo home run to break the tie and ultimately give the Rockies the lead and the win.
Jefry Valdez pitched the ninth for the Rockies, he allowed one hit but he also had three strikeouts in the ninth to finish off the Raptors.
Donovan Casey and Luis Paz each had three hits for the Raptors. Mitchell Hansen, Rylan Bannon and Gersel Pitre each got two hits in the game.
