The Dodgers on Tuesday traded infielder Tim Locastro, who was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Tuesday, to the Yankees on Wednesday for minor league right-hander Drew Finley and cash.
Finley was a third-round Draft pick in 2015 by New York out of Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego and is the son of Dodgers vice president of amateur and international scouting, David Finley.
Really liked Drew Finley for LA in the ‘15 draft as you can read from this article. Still time to turn him into worthwhile arm. https://t.co/YrSFHxUuaG

The 22-year-old has pitched the last three years in Low-A ball, striking out 129 in 120 career minor league innings, but also walking 64 with a 5.48 ERA. Battling elbow problems, the righty has never pitched more than 33 1⁄3 innings in any season.
Locastro hit .279/.389/.409 at Triple-A Oklahoma City this year while going 2-for-11 in 14 appearances and 18 games with the big club. The Dodgers had used Locastro as a speedy option off the bench when called upon. The 26-year-old was 4-for-4 on stolen base attempts with limited opportunities.
