Rocky Gale was one of the last players to join the Dodgers in spring training last February. Gale was released by the San Diego Padres on February 22nd and then signed by the Dodgers to a minor league contract on February 25th.

On September 2, 2018, the Dodgers selected his contract and he joined Los Angeles to finish the year.
