On Wednesday, the Dodgers acquired 25-year-old Adam McCreery from the Atlanta Braves for cash considerations.

The left-handed pitcher appeared in only one game with Atlanta last season. Splitting time between double-A and triple-A, McCreery went 2-5 with an ERA of 3.62. In 54 23 innings, he struck out 71 batters.

In order to create room on the 40-man roster, LA designated switch-pitcher Pat Venditte for assignment.
