Back from the winter meetings, likely our last True Blue LA podcast of the year brings news of a pair of Dodgers additions. Joe Kelly isn’t yet official, but reportedly has joined the bullpen for $25 million over three years. In addition, former Red Sox (and Pirates and Rockies) announcer Tim Neverett joins the Dodgers broadcast crew to call games on both television and radio.

Kelly was the only splash for the Dodgers in Las Vegas, but despite the relative inactivity expect the team to be active traders this offseason, thanks to a surplus of outfielders and starting pitchers.

Neverett joins the Dodgers after three years calling Red Sox on the radio, a partnership that sadly did not end amicably. Neverett will fill in on television when Joe Davis has national assignments, and will call other games on radio in place of Charley Steiner, who signed a three-year contract through 2021 but will work a reduced schedule going forward, at Steiner’s request.
