LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers will televise 20 spring training games — 17 Cactus League contests from Arizona plus all three Freeway Series games against the Angels in Anaheim and Los Angeles — up from 16 in 2017.
The television schedule begins with the Dodgers’ spring opener on Friday, Feb. 23 against the White Sox at Camelback Ranch. Joe Davis and Orel Hershiser will call that game as well as games against the Giants and Padres the next two days. Over the course of spring training other announcers will rotate in as well on the television broadcasts, including Charley Steiner, Rick Monday, John Hartung, Nomar Garciaparra, Jerry Hairston Jr. and Ned Colletti.
The 20 total spring broadcasts for SportsNet LA is up from 16 the last last two years (13 Arizona games plus all three Freeway Series games).
For those without SportsNet LA, all four Dodgers games against the White Sox will be streamed on WhiteSox.com. In addition the Angels spring broadcast schedule hasn’t yet been announced but their games against the Dodgers are usually televised on Fox Sports West or Prime Ticket, so that Wednesday, Mar. 7 game in Tempe seems likely to also be available on TV in southern California.
Sixteen of the Dodgers’ 20 televised spring games will be broadcast on AM 570 radio as well. The radio schedule from Arizona is almost all weekend contests, with 11 of the 13 scheduled on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. There is one Wednesday radio broadcast on Mar. 14 against the Rockies, and one Thursday broadcast on Mar. 22 against the Angels.
Some of the radio broadcasts will be simulcasts of the SportsNet LA television broadcast, though others will be separate productions.
For those wondering...I will be working for the Dodgers 5 spring training games w Rick Monday. Four of those games will be simulcast, and one will be on AM570 only. Our first game together is March 9 and that is radio only.

KTNQ AM 1020 will televise five spring games from Arizona — the first and last weekends of games at Camelback Ranch — plus all three Freeway Series games.
